Born in Headland, AL and married to Sherrell with two sons (Taelin and Marlon Jr.) and one daughter (Gabrielle). BS Degree from Athens State University in Management of Technology. Serving as Associate Minister at GSMBC since 2003 and Youth Pastor since 2012.
Angerine Pope
Minister of Music
Born in Marianna, Florida and moved to Headland, Alabama at an early age. Graduated with
Honors from Headland High School in 1981 and Troy University Dothan with a Bachelors
degree in Computer and Informational Science in 1988 and a Masters degree in Secondary
Education in Mathematics in 1996. A Former Computer Operator, Computer Programmer, and
Computer Instructor. Currently an Educator. Served as Head Musician/Organist/Pianist
1977-1981. Currently serving as Minister of Music since 1992. Previously married with
four children (Michael, Manuel, Anamaria, and Miguel).
Rev. Jonathan Carmichael
Associate Minister
Native of Orlando, Florida and retired US Army veteran with 20+ years of dedicated service. Married to the love of his life, Glendelle L. Carmichael for 30 years. God has blessed them with two beautiful children, Jonathan II and Joneisha.
Sherrell Vickers
Assistant Minister of Music
Born in Birmingham, AL and a graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, AL and Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with concentration in Piano/Vocal Music. Teacher and Educator. Married to Rev. Bernard Vickers with three children (Taelin, Gabrielle, and Marlon Jr.).
Minister Gerald Brown
Associate Minister
Born in Dothan, AL and retired from the United States Marines and Army with 19 years of service. Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and has completed a 24-month Mentorship Program in Foundational, Spiritual, & Entrepreneurial Development. Married to Lisa with two children, Darius (Jackie) and Aleah, with one grandchild (Olivia).
